Blog Cramp

Not making any excuses for the lack of blogging over the past few weeks. It's not that life has stopped or Wrocław has fallen off the map I think it is because the things we do on a day-to-day basis all of a sudden seem too normal to write about. Funny red hair is uncovered as the weather has warmed up and hats are not longer required; however, it just doesn't seem as funny to me anymore. Not that I still don't get an occasional chuckle, but the astonished guffaws are gone!

So what have we been up to???

Not long after I put away our winter coats we had 32 degrees and snow! I refused to take out the coats again but did give in to mittens!

We bought a small grill and now just have to find something that somewhat resembles beef! Craig also has to remember how to cook without gas. We've used it twice and definitely enjoyed it!

I just noticed how many men carry their ladies purses around here! Don't worry - I won't insult Craig's manhood by asking him to carry my clutch. It is enough he has to carry a man purse!

The outdoor facades are nearly all complete and we've enjoyed our first beer outside. It gets a little chilly when the sun goes down but it definitely means warm weather is on it's way! For those of you gasping because I'm drinking beer don't worry. It is not my first choice but my palate has become more accepting!

Oliver has two new girlfriends. The first is Klaudia the 20 year old guard in our building and the other is Mia, a 10 year old Maltese. His life is now complete! Those are the only two living, breathing creatures he actually kisses! Klaudia loves to pick him up and cuddle with him. What I especially like his how her perfume rubs off on Oliver so even when he stinks he smells dang good!

I have to give huge thanks to a fellow 3M'er who brought a "gentle lead" harness for me to try on Oliver. It works much like a halter on a horse. A gentle pull on his leash and he follows me. It is way cool! No more pulling him away from every light post, garbage container and stumps. He now holds his head up and trots calmly next to me. Life is good! Speaking of Oliver I had to pull a crabby, alpha male wiener dog off him today! Whew...anther good deed done! Most dogs are frightened by huge German shepherds but mine will forever by tainted by wiener dogs!

We're making friends....we're having dinner with a couple NOT FROM 3M!!!! That good ol' Masmar magic still works! It really is nice to have settled in and start establishing some "roots" (not the kind I seem to continually fight)!

Not much else new around here. We are looking forward to heading home in May for a short visit so watch out!!!!

I've been seriously LAX in my blogging... so I understand the "blogging cramp!" Things are somewhat "eh" over here, save for the fact I just went on vacation to Miami...

When are you coming back in town? You need to come see us! 8-)
