Who Said Polish Was Easy????

Going into today's lesson I had a sense of overwhelming confidence. I KNEW I was going to rock it! Oh my...did I come stumbling quickly from my self-proclaimed pedestal. Not frustrated but definitely feeling reality. Grammar is tough in any language but especially so in Polish. A final thought on the Polish language...A ten word sentence in English can easily be reduced to four or five words so how the heck can it have 100 more letters??? That is only part of the dilema!!

I tried cutting off the tip of my thumb last night in the kitchen. Thankfully, no stitches required!! Not sure what we would have done had I managed to do a better job. Oh well...not to worry!

We are really enjoying all the fresh fruit from the Farmer's Market. I stop in once a week and buy enough fruit to keep us healthy and regular the whole week! I still haven't found a wide variety of vegetables. I guess I better lower my expectations a little. I have discovered you don't need beef to make a good hamburger. Since pork is more of a staple around here I've started using ground pork and adding dry ranch or Italian dressing mix along with onions and garlic. Toast the bun and you've got it!!! I may even attempt good, old American potato salad this weekend. Every once in a while you just have to have "mom" food.

Nothing big planned for the weekend. We plan on meeting some friends at our favorite watering hole on Saturday and let whatever happens, happen. Craig will need some down time after the very busy work week.

FYI...there is a contractor helping out this week and believe it or not he is from Red Oak, Iowa. Again, how small is our world????

Have a good one!
