Look but don't Touch

I was out and about when I ran into this dog tied (with a very heavy rope) to a light post. The picture doesn't do him justice. I suspect he was about 70 pounds. My original shot was going to be an image of his back legs sprawled out on the sidewalk. As I fumbled to get my camera he turned toward me with his Hannibal Lecter mask on his very large face. I often see people leave their dogs tied up outside a store and do wonder if there are dog-nappers in Poland. No doubt this dog was safe. Even with the steel muzzle I wasn't about to get too close to this guy!! Don't the two white spots, along with his tail, look like an anteater?

Today is Thursday and I've officially become bored with myself. I miss routine and when Craig is gone so is my routine. I stay up way too late, get up later than the usual 6:30 a.m. wake-up call, shower shortly before noon, browse the Internet longer than I should and neglect all household chores. Today I hit the wall. I broke down and ate a whole bag of Cheetos and way too many Tootsie Rolls (thanks Michael)!!! I did skip lunch and have only had one Pepsi Light so all is not lost, is it???

Not to beat myself up too badly, I have also finished Michael's scrapbook, published my first slide show and today I created a mini-slide show with music added. I haven't broken anything, kicked the dog or spent money needlessly. The Nobel Prize must surely be within my grasp based on those things alone!

I guess the moral of the story is...boredom does exist even in Europe! Thursdays are still just Thursdays and the view, albeit beautiful, hasn't changed by me just sitting around waiting. So, before the next re-run of a re-run starts up on Fox Life (I've watched the same episode of Grey's Anatomy three times since yesterday) I best get my butt off the couch and take the sleeping dog - even he is bored - out for a walk.
